  • is a not-for-profit, community based organisation with no connection to any religion or religious organisation

  • provides information, counselling, support and education to reduce the negative impacts of substance (alcohol and other drugs) problems

  • encourages a “whole of family” approach to treating alcohol and drug problems, offering a focused education support program for the significant other people in the drinker/substance user’s life

  • has affiliate services in Western Australia (head office in Perth), Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Holyoake service in Queensland:

  • is one of the affiliate interstate services operating under the licenced national program from Perth

  • provides a family focused service to those indirectly affected by drinking and drug use ie. the people in close relationship with the drinker or drug user

  • offers education support groups for family and friends of the substance user, with a focus on their needs and concerns relating to the person’s drinking or drug problem

  • is based at the Alcohol and Drug Foundation – Qld

  • receives funding from Queensland Health, fundraising, donations and service fees

  • is confidential, non-judgemental, professional and affordable.
