      Counselling options

      One on one counselling

Individual family members, partners or friends of a person with an alcohol or drug problem can access one on one, face to face counselling.

      Couples counselling

This can be a useful option for working together on a substance issue as a couple.

Partners and parents can access confidential, face to face counselling together.  The couple may or may not include the substance user. For example, counselling can be provided to a couple where one partner has a substance dependence or to the parents of a child with a substance dependence.

      Private family group counselling

This can be a useful option for families wishing to work confidentially with a counsellor.  This option can include the person with the dependence problem and other family members.
