Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinical ServiceThe Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Clinical Service aims to work primarily with adults who are experiencing problems with alcohol, tobacco, and/or other drugs. The service provides a range of evidence-based treatment activities by assessing local needs, working in partnership with other agencies, providing direct services to individuals and their families using a harm minimisation approach and maintaining local communication networks. Referrals may be made by individuals or service-providers, and initiated by contacting the local office per the details above. Youth Alcohol and Drugs ServiceTwo Youth AOD Workers are based in Kingaroy and service the South Burnett region and part of the Northern Downs (Dalby and Tara). This service aims to support young people, aged between 12 and 24 years, who are experiencing problems with alcohol and/or other drugs. The service is a dynamic one, incorporating latest research to offer a quality, evidence-based model of engagement and treatment. Its focus is Case Management, Counselling and Referral.
