The Organisation
The Alcohol and Drug Foundation Queensland (ADFQ) is a not-for-profit organisation. ADFQ has diverse interests through its ”missional” activities (including, Logan House) to its professional services such as the Interlock Employee Assistance Program.
You will be an experienced, career oriented Psychologist ready to assist in the management and delivery of the professional and clinical services across aspects of ADFQ’s operations.

The Position
Your role will involve:
•  Providing support to the Manager (Professional Services) in the research, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of clinical service initiatives to ensure that programs are current, relevant and effective. This may include assisting in the delivery of workshops and organisational consultancies (some intrastate travel is involved).
• Coordinating the response to Critical Incidents, including staff allocation and enforcement of Critical Incident policies and procedures.
• Provide advice in conjunction with the Manager (Professional Services) in areas such as research and assessment.
• Provide reports in relation to the outcomes of the Professional Services team as required.
The Person
Ideally you will have will have
• Current registration as a Psychologist in Queensland and be eligible for membership of the Australian Psychological Society
• Minimum three years experience in a clinical setting involving broad experience in individual, family and organisational cases
It is desirable that you will have
• Previous experience in providing Employee Assistance Services to organisations and their employees
• The ability to design, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate clinical programs and services
• Previous experience in the provision of critical incident stress management
Benefits
• A competitive package of around $85-90K including a motor vehicle, phone, parking, salary sacrifice and super will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Casual Support Workers

(Logan House)

Opportunities exist for casual Support Workers to join the staff team at Logan House. Logan House an intensive medium-term residential rehabilitation program for men and women with drug and alcohol issues.

These positions entail working closely with the resident population of alcohol and drug dependent individuals. Primary responsibilities involve providing out of hours care, support and supervision to the client group. If you have an understanding of alcohol and other drug related issues this is a unique opportunity to work closely with a client group in extended rehabilitation. Logan House is currently experiencing significant changes to its programs and services and this is an exciting opportunity to be in on the ground floor of something new.

Successful applicants will be required to work a combination of overnight and weekend shifts.

Salary is paid in accordance with the SACS Award.

Qualifications & Experience


• Qualifications and/or experience in a similar setting would be highly regarded but not essential
• A compassionate, non-judgmental attitude
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Demonstrated capacity to work under broad direction
• Own transport is essential
